May 11, 2019 Annual Plant Sale

This year's plant sales promises to be the best ever and we want you to be a part of it!!!  Connie has once again volunteered to chair the plant sale and this year we're lucky to have an awesome co-chair....newly retired Cathy Welling!  Cathy will add her extra energy and vitality to help Connie with this huge endeavor and we all have the opportunity to join in the fun.....and work.  But working to make money to support our great club and to collect money for graduating students scholarships really isn't work so let's do it!!!

Potting nights are at the Salem Church on all Monday's - April 22, 29 and May 6 from 6:00 p.m. until whenever. If you have not signed up, please contact Joan Gross, Connie, or Cathy Welling. Your help will certainly be appreciated. Don't forget to bring any plants you may have dug out of your own gardens to donate!  Helen Dolan is coordinating the digs so if you volunteer, she'll contact you with specifics.  And if you have friends or neighbors who want to donate plants, please let Helen know.

At this time, we're looking for a 100' hose to borrow, reusable plastic tables cloths and bird netting.  If you have any, please let us know.

Mary Hall has raffle tickets and will be selling them before the next meeting.  You can buy them for yourselves or sell them to your friends and neighbors.  If you'd like some before the meeting, just give Mary a call. I believe the prizes this year are: 1st prize is a seasonal walk-in greenhouse, second prize is a garden pagoda , third prize is $50 gift certificate to a local nursery.

This plant sale is our only fund raiser for the year and we need to make it the very best it can be.  To do that, we need your help so please set aside some time to work with your fellow members/friends and we'll get it done!

REMINDER: Dues are due.  Please come prepared to pay Mary Hall, Treasurer that evening.
